When you're on that stage and you are under those bright lights, there's that moment when you take off from a jump. Time almost stands still, and your perceptions just widen entirely.

My name is Madelyn Ho. I've always been both a scientist and a dancer, and these two sides of my identity are inseparable. In high school, I became really passionate about science. For me, science is the pursuit of knowledge. It's diving into the depths of understanding and to be able to create new things for humanity. The Science Talent Search competition has changed my life and taught me what it meant to be devoted and passionate about what you do. Now, as a dancer, the devotion is what drives me.
