Our commitment to a healthier planet
Our efforts to protect the health of the planet are closely tied to our mission to improve human health. To restore our planet for future generations, we are working both at our sites and in our communities to increase renewable energy usage, conserve natural resources, reduce waste and protect biodiversity.
Our 2030 environmental targets
Energy & Emissions:
- Reduce our combined Scope 1 & 2 (market-based) GHG emissions by 15%.
- Ensure 75% of our suppliers have GHG emissions reduction targets for Scopes 1, 2 and 3.
- Source 100% of purchased electricity from certified renewable energy sources.
Waste:
- Achieve zero waste-to-landfill for owned sites.
- Divert 50% of non-hazardous waste to recycling, beneficial reuse and composting for owned sites.
Water:
- Develop water mass balance to advance water resource management.
Product Environmental Footprint (PEF):
- Conduct PEFs for at least two products.
