Regeneron in the Community (RIC) is an employee-driven program that encourages volunteerism and service in the areas where our employees work and live — all with the aim of making a difference in the lives of others.

The same pride and passion that fuel our science provide the energy behind RIC. We focus on gifts of time, talent and service because our employees want to give back to the local community. We teach, we nurture, we learn and we grow.

One of the RIC programs Regeneron is most proud of is our science education program, which we implement in partnership with local school districts, academic institutions, and communities in which we do business. Regeneron employees offer their time, experience, and scientific expertise to encourage students to get excited about science. Whether students get hooked on science at a neighborhood street fair, discover the wonders of a crustacean under an electron microscope on the BioBus, or while conducting advanced research in a laboratory under the guidance of a mentor who assists them in preparing for major scientific competitions, we recognize that these students could be the industry leaders of the future, and we are committed to helping them get there.

Our Chief Scientific Officer takes a personal interest in our internship program because, as a youngster growing up in Queens, New York, he was mentored by local scientists who opened up a new world to him.

Other programs Regeneron employees are involved with in Tarrytown, NY, and Rensselaer, NY, include: Habitat for Humanity; celebrating National Chemistry Week; repacking food for local food pantries; raising funds for breast cancer research; supplying school clothing, supplies and holiday gifts to families in need; and participating on judging panels at science fairs and other technical competitions.
